We are continuing to pursue the Mobile Home issue.

I am seeking information that I believe your office maintains. Please provide me with a spreadsheet extracted from the County Tax Digest for the current fiscal year that is responsive to the following request. The CCFC is seeking to correlate Mobile Homes in Franklin County with the issuance of RP decals and to determine which Mobile Homes pay real property tax and/or have an RP decal. To the extent possible, please provide a spreadsheet with the following Fields:

1.       PRCL_PARCEL_NUMBER

2.       OWNER_NAME

3.       RP Decal (Y/N)

4.       Mobile Home being assessed as Real Property? (Y/N)

5.       USEDESC

To the extent you can, I’d appreciate it if you could provide any other information that is responsive to our request. It is our concern, based on numerous observed situations that the county is not collecting property taxes as required by the DOR and as described in their most recent memo “Taxation Mobile Homes in Florida.” GT-8000047 R. 04/15. However, citizens have no way to ascertain whether the county is in compliance or not.

Please let me know if the preceding task is something your office can do, how long it will take and the cost to provide such information. If any aspect of our request is not available please let me know specifically which information is not available through your office.
